"It seems like yesterday I was headed to Wichita Falls for the season's first game. Now, we are heading into the weekend of the state semi-finals, with 24 Texas high school teams battling it out on the field to determine who will make it to the state championship game at AT&T Stadium. In this article, I will discuss a few games, and I'm particularly looking forward to this weekend.
Aledo vs. Forney: This game has the potential to be a good one. Aledo is 14-0 and aims to win their second consecutive state championship. The Bearcats have given up a little since they played Guyer at the start of the season. Hauss Hejny is playing out of his mind; however, Forney will not be an easy win for the Bearcats. The Jackrabbits' defense will come into play.
Prediction: Aledo wins 28-17

Duncanville vs. North Crowley: Only one team has been able to stop Duncanville this season, and that's Desoto. They have made their way to the playoffs with ease. However, the 14-0 Wildcats are ready forthe challenge. Their defense is aggressive, and their quarterbacks play lights out. I believe the team with the best quarterback play will win this game.
Prediction: Duncanville wins 35-21
Southlake vs. Desoto: Although a few teams have put points on Desoto, none of them have been able to challenge them. They handled Duncanville with ease and cruised to the state semi-finals. Quarterback play will be crucial in this matchup for both teams. Southlake has a phenomenal quarterback in Graham Knowles, a senior committed to Georgia Tech. Knowles must have his best game to be competitive versus the Eagles.
Prediction: Desoto wins 38-24
I'm excited to start covering these games starting Thursday. Be sure to return tomorrow, as I will discuss more previews and predictions."
