Big Weekend in Texas College Football

Week 6 isn’t quite as strong as Week 5, but there are still plenty of games across our great state that should grab attention heading into October.
Kansas State vs. Baylor
The Bears have just one loss, coming against a tough Arizona State squad. The Sun Devils are one of the best teams in their conference and remain undefeated in Big 12 play. Baylor also dropped a game to Auburn out of the SEC. With that said, a Big 12 Championship is still within reach for the Bears if they keep winning.
Texas vs. Florida
Florida may be 0–3 in their last three games, but “The Swamp” is never an easy place to play for a road team. Texas enters the week ranked No. 9 in the nation. Expect a wild atmosphere—Florida will play like they have nothing to lose. This will also be another chance to see Arch Manning tested in a hostile SEC environment.
Texas Tech vs. Houston
Texas Tech looks like the most complete team in the Big 12. Their road win over Utah proved a lot about the Red Raiders. They also have one of the best quarterbacks in the conference, who has been playing lights out. However, Houston is a sneaky 4–0. The Cougars haven’t faced a team with Tech’s depth yet, so Saturday night will show us what they’re truly made of.
Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M
Texas A&M already has two solid top-25 wins this season—first against Notre Dame in South Bend, then a week later against a tough Auburn squad. Mike Elko’s Aggies sit at No. 6 in the country, and they’ve earned it. Meanwhile, Mississippi State looks like a completely different team this year, nearly upsetting a top-15 Tennessee squad. This matchup features a strong offense against a stout defense, and playing at Kyle Field definitely gives the edge to the Aggies.
So what may have seemed like a boring schedule really isn't in Texas. The games will have huge implications on the College Football Season this week.
