Keller Volleyball Continues Strong Run in 6A With Big Matchup Ahead

The Keller Indians continue to make noise in District 6A, sitting at 21-3 as they prepare for a highly anticipated matchup against Byron Nelson this Friday.

After a big win over Southlake Carroll, Lone Star Sports caught up with setter Anna Flores, who has been a key leader for Keller this season.

Postgame Reactions

Reflecting on the victory, Flores shared her excitement about how her team performed:

“I’m feeling great. We had a lot of anticipation and energy coming into this game,” she said.

Just days earlier, Flores hit a major milestone — 2,500 career assists — which happened to fall on her birthday.

While the accomplishment was special, she made it clear that the team’s success is her main focus.

“Milestones are amazing, but it’s just fun playing with my team. Every game I come into, it’s about playing with them.”

Midseason Outlook

With about a month and a half left before the playoffs, Flores believes Keller is trending in the right direction.

“I feel like we’re not at our peak yet. I think we’re still going uphill, and I think we’ll hit our peak right in playoffs, which is good for us. We had a little rocky start to the season, but it’s good to just keep rising.”

Looking Ahead

Flores, a Cal commit, also spoke about what she enjoys most during her final high school season.

“The players, the people—I love playing against high-level competition. Our district is insane. There are so many good teams to play against, so just that high level of play is my favorite part.”

With Keller gaining momentum and Flores leading the way, the Indians look poised to make a deep playoff run once postseason play arrives.
